Ely Fireworks tickets go on sale

Our sales launch took place at Ely Tourist Information Centre on Tuesday of this week, 16th September, to which we were pleased to welcome, amongst others, Mayor of Ely Michael Banyard.

We were delighted at this same time that our Mayor was able to present Cambridgeshire Search and Rescue (CAMSAR)  with a cheque for £2500, from the proceeds of last year’s Ely Fireworks. CAMSAR is a highly deserving organisation, being made up of trained volunteers who provide Cambridgeshire Constabulary with the invaluable benefit of a specialist emergency team in searches for vulnerable high-risk missing persons.

In fact, the huge success of 2024’s Ely Fireworks has enabled us, once again, to make two enhanced donations, a further £1000 having been handed over earlier this year to the newly formed Ely Community Cinema, another initiative established entirely through the work of volunteers. The ECET committee is extremely proud to have substantially benefited two organisations who do so much good work within the locality.
